DNA Children's Book

The DNA kids book is due on Thursday.  You will not have class time on Wednesday.  ALso, if there is a snow day tomorrow, the book is still due on Thursday.

DNA Animations

Check out this cool site for animations and explanations to the major DNA processes.  It's a bit complicated at times, but provides tremendous visuals.

Extra Credit

In order to get extra credit, you must complete the test found at this link.  All material we have covered needs to be answered.  For all material we have not covered, you must write what section of the book seems to cover that topic.

10-3 Homework

Everyone needs to turn in Cornell notes, a concept map or outline on chapter 10 section 3 (Control of Cell division) tomorrow, Thursday the 17th.

Cancer Pioneer dies (not of cancer)

Anybody remember Judah Folkman?  He was the scientist in the video about cancer.  His contribution was first theorizing and then proving that angiogenesis allowed tumors to feed their own growth through the creation of blood vessels.  Well, he died today.  Click here to hear a great story about him from NPR.
